The House is very private although we do have a neighbour a retired couple with no children or dogs our property is connected to them by a storage room and a garage their house is not joined to us only the out buildings and we are separated by a wall and a high hedge, their house being at the other end of a range of outbuildings. So we don't often see them. We are about 10 minutes from the small town of Chevanceaux where there are two boulangeries a pharmacy, a bar, restaurant, doctor, and a health centre, a petrol station, builders merchant, also a weekly produce market. For more shops and services the town of Montendre is about ten minutes away here you will find two large supermarkets and most other shops and services you may need here there is also a large weekly produce market and in the summer a weekly night market with street food and entertainers. The property is about 20 minutes from the Beautiful lakeside resort of Beauvallon, (Montguyon) here you will find a lovely lakeside clean sandy beach and safe swimming in the sparkling blue lake . La propriété est à environ 20 minutes de la magnifique station balnéaire de Beauvallon (Montguyon), vous y trouverez une belle plage de sable propre au bord du lac et une baignade en toute sécurité dans le lac bleu étincelant. Il y a aussi un bar/restaurant disponible dans une belle pinède. L'entrée au lac et à la plage est gratuite, des rafraîchissements, des glaces, etc. Peuvent être achetés au bar, la location de bateaux est également disponible, vaut bien une visite.
