Beautiful renovated stone property complex, located in a small hamlet along a dead end, comprising a house of about 150m² with 3 bedrooms, a guest cottage of 70m² with one bedroom, two outbuildings of about 40m². It is possible to acquire a fishing pond of 4,000m² nearby.

The houseThe main house consists on the ground floor of a large living room of nearly 60m² with equipped kitchen area, large fireplace with recent wood stove. The charm of the solid floors, exposed stones and beams is rustic and warm. A patio door opens onto the gravelled terrace facing west, at the rear of the buildings. To the right of the entrance, a large technical and storage area with concrete floor, lined walls and insulated ceilings, is divided into a garage and workshop (40m²), and a laundry room (ca.13m²).

On the first floor, a large central landing (17m² and almost 25m² on the ground) is just waiting to be converted. Two skylights provide the necessary light. Around this space are a family bathroom of 8m² with Wc, 2 bedrooms of 10.5m², 17m² and a third bedroom of 21m² equipped with an en-suite bathroom with Wc of 7m². The floors and doors are made of solid wood, the framework is exposed and the walls of the rooms are beautifully jointed.

Heating is provided by a wood stove in the living room and by recent electric radiators in the other rooms. The house is equipped with a septic tank to standards. The natural slate roof was completely renovated in 2009. All windows are double glazed wood and solid wood doors.

The cottage

A small gîte has been fitted out by the owners in an old small barn adjoining the house. It consists of a living room of 38m² with equipped kitchen and wood stove. As it is in place of old stables, the ceiling height is between 185-200cm. A staircase leads to a large bedroom of 28.5m² open to the ridge, with storage cupboards and a bathroom of 4.4m² with shower, bath and WC.

The outbuildings

Partly adjoining the main house, a stone outbuilding of nearly 40m² and 3 rooms will be perfect for animals, a workshop or storage, or to create another gîte.

The exteriors

The buildings are located on a relatively flat plot of more than 4,000m². It is fenced and bordered by hedges of trees. A gate on either side of the buildings allows vehicles to enter two gravelled car parks. Two terraces, one gravelled and the other raised in wood, allow you to enjoy the magnificent sunsets in the area, thanks to its western exposure. A tiny rural lane (pedestrian only) separates the adjoining land from a small fenced meadow of 2,500m², perfect for animals.

The optional pond

For those interested: a lake of about 4,000 m² located 300 meters from the house in a green setting is also for sale. It completes the property and gives it a unique touch. Placed in the middle of a plot of just over a hectare, it was created in the late 1980s and is fed by an underground spring that runs through it and continues its way into the nearby woods. Far from being abandoned, it has been well maintained by its owners and beautifully enhances their property. A 12m² wooden fisherman's hut with a wooden terrace in front is the ideal place to enjoy the surrounding calm while enjoying the joys of fishing.

Access and Amenities

This property is located in a cul-de-sac hamlet, in the small town of Domps, in the regional park of Millevaches. It is 15 minutes from the Corrèze village of Chamberet and its amenities, 20 minutes from the picturesque little towns of Eymoutiers, on the banks of the Vienne river and Treignac where the Vézère flows. Limoges centre is a 55-minute drive away and its airport is 65 minutes away.
