The Village of Vernoux en Gatine in Deux Sevres is very peaceful with traffic free roads, there is a bakery and a Post Office. The Gatine is known for its fruit trees, apples, cherries and melons – many places to pick your own or buy direct from the Farm Shop.
Secondigny is 7 minutes which has a large Supermarket, fuel, Chemist, Bakers, Restaurants, bars, cafes, newsagents and other small shops. There is also a Lake and a weekly market.
L’Absie is 4 minutes, there is a large supermarket, post office, restaurants, bars, cafes, chemist and lots more
