In the village itself, there are restaurants, a post office, chemist, Mini Co-Op, Tourist Board Office and much more.
This area is steeped in history, there are lots of beautiful walks and the area is renowned for Bird Watching as well as traffic free roads.
There are regular low costs flights from Poitiers Airport (47km) to the Uk. There are also airports at Nantes and Tours.
The Ferry Port at Caen is 3h30 driving time as well as Ferry Ports at St Malo, Le Havre, Dieppe and Calais – depending on where in the Uk who are located.
There is a Tgv (High Speed Train) connection in Poitiers (47km) which gets you to Paris in 1h30 or you can drive there in 3h30. There is also a Train connection in Thouars.
