Indre-et-Loire Property

At the heart of the traditional province of Touraine, the chateaux of Chenonceau, Amboise, Loches, or Azay-le-Rideau, which seem to have come straight out of a fairly tale, are solid proof of the centuries of history that have marked Indre-et-Loire. All this wealth, spread out along the banks of the Loire, a mild climate as well as the relative proximity of Paris can explain why property in Indre-et-Loire can sometimes appear a little more expensive here than elsewhere. But you have plenty of choice: a beautiful split level in Tours or, for enthusiasts of architecture, a private mansion in Richelieu. And, for a little greenery at the weekend, why not an old house in the vineyards, just 5 minutes from Loches, or a private leisure pond with grounds near Amboise.

Cher Property

The department of Cher is a succession of vineyards, farmland, woods and ponds in the heart of Berry, one of the ancient provinces of France. However, this green and peaceful department is also crossed by the marvelous Route Jacques Coeur (a well known tourist road), which marks out 10 centuries of history. There are many properties for sale in Cher, where property is both varied and affordable: an apartment at the heart of Bourges, or an old house with views of the Sancerre vineyards, for example. And for less restricted budgets, why not a manor house near Vierzon, on the outskirts of Sologne? On the gastronomy front, between Berry style eggs, coq au vin and Crottin de Chavignol (a famous variety of goat milk cheese), it is useless to start a diet here, especially if this is washed down with a Menetou-Salon, or a Sancerre.

Indre Property

The Château of Valençay; the Château of Nohant, Gargilesse-Dampierre or Argenton-sur-Creuse, are sites that you really have to visit in Indre. But the main asset of this department is really the magnificent Berrichonne countryside, studded with thousands of ponds, so well described by George Sand. The Brenne Nature Park is a wonderful wild area, a refuge for the migrating birds and a paradise for ornithologists and botanists. And the icing on the cake: the property is really very interesting here, because in Indre, one can find all sorts of houses, often to renovate and always affordable. You have the choice of where to live: an apartment in Issoudun, a town house in Châteauroux, a berrichonne barn, or old house around Châtre.

Loiret Property

Just 60 minutes from Paris and well connected by the motorway, Loiret has a lot to offer. With the state run forest of Orléans, the plains of Beauce and the ponds of Sologne, there is a lot to do in this department, where water is ever present in the form of waterways or canals. For enthusiasts of the medieval period, Saint-Benoît sur Loire and its magnificent abbey, Beaugency, or the charming flower village of Yèvre-le-Chatel are places that just have to be visited. Despite the proximity with Paris, property in Loiret remains very affordable. An apartment in Orléans, a town house in Montargis, or an old mill in Gien, you have plenty of choice. Not to mention the many plots of building land which you can find to buy.

Loir-et-Cher Property

The Loire Valley was greatly appreciated by the kings of France. Good wine and food along with a temperate climate here have maybe helped with this! Loir-et-Cher is no exception to the rule: Chambord, Cheverny, Chaumont or Blois, the royal town, are here to speak to us about this glorious past. With its many rivers and vast Sologne forest studded with ponds, Loir-et-Cher is also a favorite destination for hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Property in Loir-et-Cher offers all types of property for all budgets. Whether it be in Blois or Vendôme, you can easily find an apartment, town house or farmhouse with land. But what would you say to a troglodyte cave house in the astonishing village of Trôo?

Eure-et-Loir Property

Between the varied landscapes of the Perche Natural Park, the wide plains of the Beauce region, the cathedral in Chartres and the chateau d'Anet, Eure-et-Loir is a lovely blend of nature and architecture. What a pleasure to go on a hike or a bike ride in the Beauce in the morning, and to be able to, at the end of the day, stroll around the old Chartres, in the midst of the magnificent medieval buildings of the Rennaissance. Despite the proximity of Paris, property in Eure-et-Loir remains accessible for all budgets. So a beautiful apartment within a stone's throw of the cathedral of Chartres, or a medieval house in the historic quarter of Chateadun? And a house in Illiers-Combray should delight Marcel Proust fans who will leave in search of lost time.
