Within a short drive you can be in the Dordogne or the Lot visiting towns such as Sarlat, Le Roque Gageac, Rocamadour, Brive, Soulliac, Martel, Brantome, Lascaux and many many more. The Limousin region is known as the land of a thousand lakes and many have beaches for you to cool off in the long hot summer sun.
Limoges Airport has regular flights throughout the week from London and regional Uk airports with well known airlines. If you prefer the ferry then Caen, St Malo, Le Havre or even Calais provide an excellent starting point for your drive south which can all be done in the same day.
