The house, which dates back to the 18th century, is in a pretty, natural quiet countryside location, not overlooked, peaceful neighborhood, on a plot of 4657m2. A shady meadow with large umbrella pine, pretty cedar, oaks, chestnuts and fruit trees (cherry, apple, fig). To the north-west is bounded by a wood. The oak half-timbering and walls were cleared of an existing concrete plaster and covered with an earth/lime plaster. So that the walls can 'breathe' again and ensure a balance of temperature variations and air humidity.
The house is sound, not least because it is built on a hill, on foundations, and drainage has been put in place on the east-northwest side of the house. For sanitary facilities, there is a septic tank in good condition, but not up to current standards (missing the sand bed). The roof has been completely redone, the framework has been made by hand in oak wood. The insulation was made with cork panels. Three skylights have been installed.

Heating in the living/dining room is provided by a fireplace and a wood burning stove (50cm), otherwise electric radiators. The entrance and parking area are to the east of the house as well as a small barn/workshop.
Upstairs: A mezzanine of 70 m2 is connected to the ground floor by an oak staircase.
On the west side is an outbuilding converted into a painter's studio, renovated in the same style. There is a large bright room of 42m2 and views of the Pyrenees, with shower cabinet, Wc and sink, mezzanine for storage. Heating by an electric inertia heater.
Adjoining is an annex to renovate of 24m2 which serves as an entrance hall with kitchenette with a wood burner.
